A frugal new 1.0-litre SIDI three-cylinder turbo petrol engine will go on sale in the Vauxhall Adam city car in 2014, following its debut at next month’s 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. Toyota has quashed all the rumours about how much its new GT 86 rear-wheel drive sports car will cost: the price has been confirmed at £24,995 in the UK. Some speculation had suggested the price might soar nearer £30k on account of the unfavourable yen exchange rate. But Toyota GB today confirmed the GT 86 will start at £24,995.
A CAR being sold without a full service history is worth one-fifth less on average than a car with a fully stamped service book. This amounts to an average of £1464 for the typical used car sold in the UK with a price of £7706. A study by Kwik Fit found buyers expect a 19% discount for cars with incomplete or no service history, which is costing the used car industry £10 billion per year in lost revenue.
